COVID-19: Trump in phone call with Buhari

United States President Donald Trump called President Muhammfadu Buhari on phone Tuesday.

The duo engaged in conversation about the COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the world

This was disclosed by Minister of Information Alhaji Lai Mohammed, diring the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.

Lai Muhammed said President Muhammadu Buhari used the opportunity to explain to the United States President efforts Nigeria is making to contain the spread of the disease.

He said Donald Trump assured that the U.S. government and it’s people stand in solidarity with Nigeria.

The American leader promised to send ventilators and other COVID-19 fighting equipments to support the country in its fight against the pandemic.

“President Trump also extends his best regards to the people of Nigeria”, Mohammed added.
