The son of the Chief Medical Director (CMD), Lafia Hospital, Apata, Ibadan, Kayode Sule, has regained his freedom alongside the two hospital staff he was kidnapped with by suspected herdsmen along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Though it couldn’t be confirmed if the N50m ransom was paid, however it was gathered that Kayode, Dele Adigun and Opeyemi Abifarin were released on late Friday night July 26th by their abductors who were said to be about 15 in number.
The CMD’s son who sustained gunshot injury on the leg, is being given medical attention after regaining freedom. When the Oyo State Command was contacted by The Nation, they reportedly said that the area where the released victims were taken, was not within Oyo State police command.
