The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has postponed the National Sports Festival (NSF) which was scheduled to hold in Benin from Dec. 3 to Dec.13.
The event tagged Edo 2020 which was initially slated for March, was postposed to December due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. It will however now be holding from Jan.3 to Jan.17, 2021.
John Joshua-Akanji, Special Adviser on Media to Minister of Youth and Development confirmed the development. He said;
“The decision was arrived at after a virtual meeting between the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), and Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare.”
